PSU Stocks to BUY: Coal India (NSE: COALINDIA) is the country’s largest coal producer which has Maharatna status. As of March 2023, the company operates 322 mines. 

Of these, 138 are underground and 171 are open cast. It’s the world’s biggest coal producer. 

The stock has seen plenty of activity over the last few months and is likely to remain so shortly as well. 

This share is currently at a level of Rs 390 (Coal India Shares Price). It has given a bumper return of 70 percent in just six months.

A domestic brokerage has advised to buy Coal India shares for the next 6-9 months. The goal is set at Rs 419. 

Currently, this share is worth Rs 390. In this case, the return is 10 percent. The 52-week high is Rs 405 and the low is Rs 207. The market cap of the company is Rs 2.4 lakh crore.

Coal Demand Is Strong From The Power Sector

Coal production in the nine months till December of FY24 was 532 MT, which is 11 percent more on an annual basis. 

The target of this fiscal has been kept at 780 MT. Coal offtake in the first nine months stood at 552 MT, an increase of 9 percent on an annual basis. 

Its target has also been set at 780 MT. In FY25-26, the company has set the target of coal supply at 850/1000 MT. Strengthens demand visibility of the power sector.

If we look at the performance of Coal India shares, this week it closed at the level of Rs 390. The 52-week high is Rs 405 and the all-time high is Rs 447. 

This week the stock has risen by 3.7 percent, 7.2 percent in one month, 25 percent in three months, 70 percent in six months, and about 75 percent in one year.

IICM offers multi-disciplinary courses. It owns 11 wholly-owned subsidiary companies, which include Eastern Coalfields Limited, Bharat Coking Coal Limited Central Coalfields Limited, 

Western Coalfields Limited, South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Northern Coalfields Limited, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited, CIL Navi Karniya Uja Limited, CIL Solar PV Limited, and Coal India Africana Limitada.
